Chrissy Baldock from Gainsborough, ran the Humber Coastal Half Marathon virtual event and raised a magnificent £1010 to help blind and sight impaired people in and around Gainsborough.

Chrissy ran on behalf of local independent Charity Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society, which makes life easier for blind and sight impaired people whatever their age and personal circumstances by giving practical help and assistance.

Chrissy's friend's dad used their services to help live with his sight loss and was a member of the Society for many years, so she was keen to support the Society and had his photo on her t-shirt as she ran.

Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year, relies on fundraising to keep the services going, so Chrissy's magnificent effort raised £505 and was matched by HSBC Gainsborough for a total of £1010.

Mandy Johnson, LLBS Chief Executive said "We are absolutely delighted that Chrissy decided to support us and the money she raised will be put to good use in the Gainsborough area.  A big thank you goes to Chrissy from all of us."
