Become a Trustee – help shape the future of support for people with Vision Impairment.
Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society (LLBS) has been supporting people affected by Vision Impairment for over 100 years. We are a long-established, local charity providing practical advice, emotional support, social connection, and long-term, person-centred help to people across Greater Lincolnshire.
Today, LLBS supports around 1,600 people through direct services, community groups, home visits, information and advice, and ongoing one-to-one support. We work with individuals, families, carers, professionals, and communities to reduce isolation, improve independence, and increase understanding of Vision Impairment. Our role is to bridge the gap between statutory services and everyday life, ensuring people are not left to cope alone.
We are now looking for passionate people to join our Board of Trustees and help guide the charity as we deliver our strategy and respond to growing demand. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in:
• Finance
• Marketing & Brand
• Professional roles (e.g. opticians, healthcare professionals)
• Lived experience connected to Vision Impairment
