Would you like to have a greater understanding of the challenges faced by blind and partially sighted people in accessing services and facilities and help to make Lincolnshire a Visually Impaired Friendly County?
We have created the Members’ Choice Award for the members of Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society to nominate local businesses and services in Lincolnshire who they would recommend as being Visually Impaired Friendly. Following consultations with our members the criteria below were highlighted as being important in making a visit easier and stress free:
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Accessible toilets
- Wide aisles clear of obstacles, any obstacles clearly highlighted
Businesses nominated by our members will receive a certificate and sticker to display on their premises and website. They will also be listed in our online directory, on social media and in our members quarterly magazine.
